Congressman Mark Souder will be visiting Whetstone Woodenware in Silver Lake today.
Souder will tour the facility at 108 E. Main St., Silver Lake, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. learning more about the business and its operations. Whetstone manufactures handmade wooden spoon, ladles, dippers, bowls, breadboards, trenchers, mixing paddles and many other types of woodenware.

May I ask why he is doing this? Nothing against this business, but aren’t there more important things to do? Maybe they can make him a wooden lighthouse since he used to chair the “Lighthouse Committee.”
