At-large Warsaw City Councilman Kyle Babcock nows has a challenger for the city’s clerk-treasurer’s position. Current clerk-treasurer Elaine Call has announced her resignation, effective March 5, meaning a replacement will be needed to fulfill her term.
The Kosciusko County Republican Party will hold a caucus at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Warsaw’s City Council Chambers to appoint Call’s replacement.
Republican Party Chairman Randy Girod has announced that the caucus committee chosen to vote on the replacement and they are: Bev Brown, Dan Hampton, Jeremiah Heierman, Jerry Irvine, Rick Keevan, Eric Kelley, Christy Polk, Joshua Spangle, Rosalee Spear, Kathy Stutzman, Karen Swinger, Warren Tatter and Deb Wiggins.
Candidates for the clerk-treasurer’s positive have until 7 p.m. Feb. 20, to file their candidacy with Girod. The CEB-5 form is available at the Kosciusko County Clerk’s office. Eligible candidates will be at least 18 years old and have been a resident of Warsaw for at least one year.
