Ethel D. Shepherd, 91, of Warsaw, died on Feb. 12, 2010, at 7:25 a.m. at Parkview-Noble Hospital Kendallville.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1919, in Floyd County, Kentucky, to Smith and Audie (Poe) Johnson. She married Odis Shepherd in 1935 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1995.
She is survived by 3 Sons; Arnold (Cindy) Shepherd, Ligonier; John (Sandy) Shepherd, Ligonier; Donald (Patty) Shepherd, Ligonier; 1 sister, Grethel Gibson, Warsaw; 1 brother, Butler Johnson, Warsaw; two daughters-in-law, Jayne Shepherd, Silver Lake; Elaine Shepherd, Fairburn, South Dakota; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Ethel was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters, two brothers, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
