     Tim K. Garris, 47, of Warsaw, Ind., died on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at 9:34 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
      He was born on May 19, 1963, in Warsaw to Jerry and Ilant (Howard) Garris.
     Mr. Garris is survived by the mother of his children: Kathy Garris, Warsaw; his parents: Jerry and Ilant Garris, Silver Lake, Ind.; four daughters: Heidi (Justin) Ulrey, Warsaw; and Kasey, Haley and Holly Garris, all of Warsaw; a son: Don (Nicole) Chilcutt, Claypool, Ind.; a sister: Angie Garris, Silver Lake; seven grandchildren; two nephews and two nieces.
     He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother: Jerry L. Garris.
     Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Letha B. Werstler

     Letha B. Werstler, 83, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 2:04 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.
     She was born on Nov. 5, 1926, in Marion, Ind., to Leslie H. & Emma Z. (Wolfe) Wagoner. She was married on Sept. 13, 1953, in Warsaw to John J. “Buster” Werstler.
     Mrs. Werstler is survived by a sister: Mary Burns, Marion; a brother: Merritt (Mary Jane) Wagoner, Gas City; and several nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Elsie Harris and Martha Burnworth; and brothers: Audrey, Mervin, Burr, Don and Billy Wagoner.
     Visitation will be at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, Ind. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Catherine Sue Abbitt

     Catherine Sue Abbitt, 49, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at 11:15 p.m. at her residence.
     She was born on June 23, 1961, in Goshen, Ind., to the late Russell Keith Brown and Peggy Sue (Tice) Brown. She was married on June 18, 1983, in Nappanee, Ind., to Tom Abbitt.
      Mrs. Abbitt is survived by her husband: Pastor Tom Abbitt, Winona Lake; two sons: Nathan (Jamie) Abbitt; and Matthew Abbitt, both of Winona Lake; one daughter: Amy Abbitt, Winona Lake; one brother: Dave (Lynn) Brown, Goshen, Ind.; and two sisters: Kim (Greg) Binkerd, Warsaw; Ellen (Mark) Beer, New Paris, Ind.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
     No calling is planned, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at Community Grace Brethren Church, Warsaw. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Beverly Jane Eherenman

     Beverly Jane Eherenman, 80, of Warsaw, Ind., died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at 11:22 a.m. at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
     She was born on Oct. 14, 1929, in Warsaw to Paul and Pauline (Fisher) Fawley. She married Robert E. “Pinky” Eherenman on May 8, 1949, in Warsaw.
     Mrs. Eherenman is survived by a daughter: Deborah (Steve) Miller, Warsaw; two sons: Gary (Angie) Eherenman; and Brent Eherenman, Warsaw; and two sisters: Martha Light, Warsaw; and Joann Gamphor, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren: Samantha Galui, West Point, N.Y.; Alex Eherenman, Brownsburg; Ross Eherenman, Brownsburg; Mallory Eherenman, Brownsburg; and two great-grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson: Josh Eherenman.
     Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel on Friday, Sept. 3. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.

Richard J. Minglin

     Richard J. Minglin, 62, Warsaw, Ind., died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at 7:58 a.m. at his residence.
     He was born on March 24, 1948, in Rochester, Ind., to Robert and Willetta (VanLue) Minglin.
     He is survived by two sons: Shawn and Aaron Minglin, both of Warsaw; a daughter: Stephanie (Bryon) Myers, Akron, Ind.; one sister Rosie (Bob) Metzger, Rochester, Ind, and his grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, on Friday, Sept. 3, at noon. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral chapel on Friday, Sept. 3.

Rev. Monsignor James J. Wolf

     Reverend Monsignor James J. Wolf, 70, of Sacred Heart Parish Warsaw, Ind., died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Indiana University Simon Cancer Center Indianapolis.
     He was born on Jan. 21, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Ind., Walter J. and Esther B. (Busch) Wolf. On May 31, 1969, he was ordained into the Priesthood by Bishop Leo A. Pursley at St. Jude Church in Fort Wayne.
     He is survived by two sisters: Mary and (Michael) Barnes, Fort Wayne; and Carolyn Grogg, Oxnard, Calif.; 16 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
     He was preceded in death by a sister: Jeanette Gayda; two brothers: Thomas Wolf and Allen Wolf; and his parents.
     Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades will celebrate the Funeral Mass and Bishop John M. D’Arcy will deliver the message.
     Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. Calling hours will also be at the church on Monday, Sept. 6, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 4:45 p.m. and an evening prayer vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
     McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.

     Curtis Dale Zorkan, 48, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at 2:49 p.m. at his residence.
     He was born on Nov. 9, 1961, in Reno, Nev., to Wanda (Lewis) and Frank Zorkan. He was married on June 1, 1996, to Teresa Ellen Denney.
     Mr. Zorkan is survived by his wife: Teresa Ellen Zorkan, Warsaw; a son: Jeremy Hall, Hammond, Ind.; three daughters: Dawn (Dan) Foreman, Warsaw; Megan Zorkan and Paige Zorkan, both of Wisconsin; six grandchildren: Cody, Brant, Alex, Hannah, Blake and Braxton; his parents: Frank and Wanda Zorkan; one brother: Christopher Zorkan; and a sister: Sherrie (Mark) Globensky, all of Phoenix, Ariz.
     Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

     Harry T. Carter, 72, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Claypool, Ind., passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2010, at 6;52 p.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
     He was born March 17, 1938, in Columbia City, Ind., to Thomas and Helen Cole (Simison) Carter. On Dec. 14, 1958, he married Rosalie A. Snyder in Claypool.
     Mr. Carter is survived by his wife: Rosalee A. Carter, Warsaw; three sons: Timothy Carter, Warsaw; Rick (Debra) Carter, Warsaw; and Brian Cartr, Warsaw; a daughter: Chris Carter, Warsaw; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Martha Reid, Columbia City; Peggy (Keith) Layman, Warren, Ind.; Judy (Carl) Mowrey, Columbia City; and a brother: Jan (Linda) Carter, Columbia City.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
     Visitation is set for Thursday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will take place Sept. 2 at noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

     Judy Ann Monroe, 65, of Silver Lake, Ind., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at 9:40 p.m. at Mason Health Care, Warsaw, Ind.
     She was born on Nov. 2, 1944, in South Beloit, Wisc., to Jack Horner and Gayle Satterlee.
     Ms. Monroe is survived by her daughter: Gayle Harris, Warsaw; one son: David (Jeanette) Perkins, Missouri; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Salley Thomas, Virginia; and Marty Hall, Fort Wayne.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother.
     No calling is planned, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m.at New Beginnings Community Church, 208 E. Main St., Atwood.

     Emery Franklin Rowland, 88, of Claypool, Ind., on Aug. 28, 2010, at 9:35 p.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, Ind.
     He was born on Oct. 14, 1921, in Claypool to Merl and Anna (Shepherd) Rowland. On May 19, 1941, he married Phyllis Hoover in Claypool.
      Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife: Phyllis Rowland, Claypool; two sons: Dennis (Pam) Rowland, Claypool; and Roger (Sandy) Rowland, Claypool; one daughter: Avis (Carl “Hub”) Wilkinson, Goshen; one brother: Duane (Mary Louise) Rowland, South Whitley; two sisters: Evelyn Clark, Springfield, Ohio; and Patricia Baker, Akron, Ind.; seven grandchildren: Missy (Vince) Wynn, Elkhart, Ind.; Tina (Scott) Mauer, Goshen; Greg (Kassi) Rowland, Warsaw; Travis Rowland, Claypool; Amy (Jason) Slone, Silver Lake; Brian Wilkinson, Syracuse; and Darren (Karena) Wilkinson, Syracuse; and 17 great-grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by three sisters: Arlene Juday, Colleen Bouse and Marjorie Rhoades.
     Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held at 10 a.m Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

     Wayne Dwight Yant, 81, of Claypool, Ind., passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
     He was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Collins, Ind., to Millard B. and Violet A. (Zorger) Yant. On June 4, 1949, he married Betty Louise Ransbottom in Claypool.
     Mr. Yant is survived by survived by three daughters: Connie (Steve) Berger, Wallingford, Vt.; LaDonna Petro, Winona Lake, Ind.; and Jennifer (David) Klein, Lake George, N.Y.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister: Genevieve (Ronald) Metzger, Warsaw; and a brother: Edward M. Yant, Richmond, Ind.
     He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Yant, and his parents.
     Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

     Jean A. Davis, 86, of North Webster, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at her son’s residence in Leesburg.
     She was born on April 8, 1924, in Elkhart, Ind., to Clarence E. and Florence N. (Hill) Richwine. She was married on Dec. 24, 1941, in Warsaw, Ind.
     Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters: Linda Smith, Portland OR; Carol (David) Garber, Warsaw; and Sue Ellen Barr, Columbus, OH; a son: Kenneth (Cheryl) Fifer, Leesburg; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; two cousins and seven nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, grandson: Richard Fifer; two sisters: Helen Warble and Imogene Menzie; three brothers: Gerald, Clarence Jr., and Harold Richwine; and sister-in-law: Jane Richwine.
     Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

     He was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Midlothian, Ill., to Albert V. and Mary (Holmes) Ames. He married Eileen (O’Leary) Ames.
     Mr. Ames is survived by his wife: Eileen Ames, Pierceton; two daughters: Susan (Larry) Gerke; and Kathy (Larry) Sargis; three sons: Robert (Jill) Ames; Thomas Ames; Keith (Felicia) Ames; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
     Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 27, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hickey Memorial Chapels in Midlothian, Ill. A service will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, Midlothian, Ill. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oaklawn, Ill.

     Dr. Russell L. Heyde, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away on Aug. 26, 2010, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
     He was born on April 4, 1929, in Kosciusko County to Forest Heyde and Frances (Knox) Heyde. On Sept. 4, 1929, at Rochester, Ind., he married Patricia Leckrone.
     Dr. Heyde is survived by his wife: Patricia Heyde, Warsaw; four children: Rebecca A., (Edgar) Schaefer, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Lee L. (Dianne) Heyde, Warsaw; Jane L. (Dan) Coplen, Warsaw; and Ann M. (John) Harman, Warsaw; nine grandchildren: one great-grandson; one daughter-in-law: Cristi L. Heyde, Greenwood; two brothers: Jay Heyde and James Heyde, both of Rochester.
     He was preceded in death by a son: Bruce L. Heyde; a nephew: David Sparks; and his parents.
     Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., with his funeral to follow at 2 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. A Masonic Ceremony will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. by the Warsaw Masonic Lodge No. 73, F. & A.M. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, with military rites conducted by the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard.
